Travel Information
Palm Springs International Airport is located about 20 miles northwest of Indian Wells, CA. Major airlines serving Palm Springs include Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, Horizon, United, and US Air. Information on the airport can be found at http://www.palmspringsairport.com/. Flight options to PSI airport (airport code PSP) can be limited from some locations, so some travelers may elect to fly to LA-Ontario International Airport. Drive time from Ontario is approximately 1¼-hours (87 miles).
Ground Transportation
The taxi rate from Palm Springs International Airport to the Esmeralda is regularly $60 each way. However, we have negotiated a shared shuttle for our attendees on our main arrival and main departure dates (May 5 and May 8). The reduced the fare will be $32 per person each way. Rental cars are not required, as newScale will provide all transportation for conference activities. Self parking is free at the resort. Valet parking is $22.00 per day.
